As a Git Release Engineer, you will serve as the bridge between software engineering and IT, focusing on delivering our products.
Job Description:
The primary responsibility of the Git Release Engineer is to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our software release process, utilizing Git as the primary version control system. This role involves close collaboration with software engineering and IT teams to understand technical requirements, as well as the building, delivery, and support of a robust software delivery process. Beyond build and release management, this position requires a skilled blending of various technologies, staying updated on industry trends, and exploring how new or different technologies can be securely integrated from security and vulnerability scanning to entirely new technology stacks.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain release schedules and timelines, ensuring all software releases are delivered on time and within scope.
- Implement and maintain release automation tools and processes to streamline the release process and increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve release processes and implement best practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to the release process, including release notes, user guides, and installation instructions.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, C#, and Azure DevOps.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
