Full-Time Nanny for 2-Year-Old

Overview: Our client, a warm and active family, is seeking an experienced, engaging Career Nanny to care for their nearly two-year-old daughter. This position offers the option to live in full-time or just during the workweek, with separate, fully equipped accommodations provided in both Sausalito and Bolinas. The nanny can also commute to the Sausalito home, but will need to live in when the family travels to Bolinas on some weekends. The role requires a nanny who is physically active, responsible, and proactive in supporting the child’s development and daily needs.

Location: Primarily Sausalito, CA, with 1-3 weekends per month in Bolinas, CA

Schedule: 40 guaranteed hours per week.

• Days: Thursday through Monday: daily schedule will fluctuate based on family’s needs.
• Days Off: Tuesday and Wednesday, with the flexibility to trade days for one weekend off per month
• Flexibility: Occasional evenings and overnights as needed; occasional travel with the family

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Provide loving, attentive care for an energetic toddler
• Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities to support cognitive, motor, and language development, focusing on speech and overall growth
• Assist with light housekeeping related to the child, including laundry, meal preparation, and organization during nap times
• Drive the child to local activities and outings (a vehicle is provided for work-related driving)
• Support occasional date nights and travel with the family, including 4-6 domestic and international trips per year

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years working with toddlers with a background in early childhood education or child development 
• Skills: Proactive, physically fit, and able to keep up with a fast-paced toddler
• Driving: Must hold a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving with the child
• Language: English required; Spanish fluency is a significant advantage
• Vaccinations: Annual flu shot, Tdap, and MMR (required)
• Pets: Must be comfortable with the family’s two friendly dogs and two Siberian cats
• Background: Willingness to undergo an in-depth background investigation
• References: Strong references from previous employers required

Compensation and Benefits:

• $80,000 - $120,000 annually ($40-$55 hourly rate), based on experience
• Guaranteed pay 52 weeks per year
• Health care compensation

• 8 paid holidays

Accommodations: Private guest accommodations with a kitchen at both homes in Sausalito and Bolinas 

Requirements:

• Must have a passport for international travel
• Reliable, responsible, and warm demeanor
