What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Chef position at DM Estate Staffing?
Overview
A Hillsborough family of four is looking for a talented, down-to-earth Personal Chef to bring warmth and creativity to their kitchen a few days a week. They love vibrant, flavorful food—think the rustic Italian soul of Cotogna, the bold Mediterranean flavors of Kokkari, and the fresh, seasonal approach of Che Fico. Their ideal chef is someone who understands how to blend health-conscious cooking with crave-worthy meals, drawing inspiration from their favorite cuisines: Mexican, Italian, Japanese, Indian, and American.
This isn’t a formal, three-meals-a-day kind of opportunity—it’s about making thoughtful, delicious dinners a few days a week, prepping easy breakfasts for the next morning, and helping their kids build good food habits along the way. They appreciate chefs who are resourceful, low-ego, and excited about seasonal ingredients with an occasional elevated touch. The family has deep ties to the restaurant world and values supporting local talent. While most meals will be cooked in their Hillsborough home, there may be occasional dinners in Napa (small gatherings, plenty of notice).
