Position Overview:
- Location: Woodside, CA
- Start Date: As soon as the perfect candidate is found!
- Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (with occasional evenings or weekends with advance notice)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with two wonderful kids: a 7-year-old and 3-year-old, a new baby on the way!
- Plan and lead thoughtful, age-appropriate activities that promote physical activity and mental growth—no screen time!
- Ensure the kids are active and outdoors as much as possible.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for the children, and clean up afterward (with priority on caring for the children over cleaning).
- Support the parents, who work from home, with a calm and positive presence, fostering a nurturing and balanced home environment.
- Drive the children to activities or the park using a family car.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Energetic & Physically Active: You’re someone who loves to keep up with kids and be active—running, playing, and enjoying the outdoors!
- Bilingual: Fluent in both Spanish and English to engage and support the children’s language development.
- Child-Centered: Experience with early childhood education and a passion for age-appropriate activities.
- Eco-Conscious: A love for nature and a willingness to align with the family’s eco-friendly values, using non-toxic products and recycling.
- Collaborative & Flexible: You enjoy being part of a team and are able to adapt to the family’s laid-back, yet intentional, lifestyle.
Requirements:
- Must be fully vaccinated for TDAP, MMR, Flu, COVID, etc.
- First Aid & CPR certified
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (family car provided)
- Comfortable working with a cat and large, friendly dog (no pet care required)
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stay physically active
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must sign an NDA and pass an extensive background check
Compensation:
- $45-$50 per hour
- 10 vacation days, 7 holidays, and 5 sick days
- Healthcare plan included
- Discretionary performance bonus
