Job Description
The Human Resource Generalist leads and coordinates human resource and safety functions across assigned business units. Primary duties include:
- Employee relations, hiring, interviewing staff, on-boarding new employees
- Stewarding PIT training program and enforcing company policies and practices
Duties and Responsibilities
The Human Resource Generalist will be responsible for:
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
- Conducts or acquires drug testing and employee eligibility verifications
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
Requirements

Education and Experience
You should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- At least two-three years of human resource management experience preferred
Physical Requirements
This role requires:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
