Responsibilities:
- SECOND SHIFT POSITION – (2:00pm-10:30pm)
- Direct supervisor for Machinists and Machine Operators in assigned area.
- Assignment of daily tasks / activities for machine shop.
- Ensure direct reports are trained and up-to-date in required processes and tasks.
- Maintain cross training matrix for direct reports and actively address gaps in training thresholds.
- Talent management of direct reports including development of employee performance objectives and execution of review process.
- Drive towards zero safety incidents and promote safety first culture.
- Drive towards zero quality issues in assigned area.
- Active management of environmental, health, and safety compliance and risk in assembly areas.
- Identifies and participates in continuous improvement activities in the Machine Shop.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of blueprints, calipers, and typical machine shop procedures, processes, and tools preferred.
- General computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong organizational skills along with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Two years of experience operating and/or programming CNC Mills and Lathes.
- Ability to work second shift (1:45pm-10:15pm).
