Overview
We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various saws and fabricating sheet metal components. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. As a Saw Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.
Duties
- Operate saws and other cutting equipment to fabricate sheet metal components according to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on saws and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery such as press brake machines, lathes, plasma cutting, and laser cutting for various fabrication tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Assist in programming machinery for automated cutting processes when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Saw Operator or in a similar machining role.
- Proficiency in operating various types of saws and fabrication equipment.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes.
- Experience with hand tools, press brake machines, lathes, plasma cutting, or laser cutting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
