Warehouse Lead

Job Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Associate will be responsible to ship and/or receive supplies, materials and equipment as well as to maintain inventory control and records. This is a career path position with increasing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Receives and unloads freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Checks for damaged goods,
• Verifies items received with purchase order as well as quantity and quality of order.
• Wraps, packages and ships supplies.
• Delivers and retrieves supplies to and from work or storage areas.
• Stocks shelves and rotates inventory. Tags and issues supplies.
• Participates in physical inventories of warehouse.
• Maintains inventory records by adding or deleting supplies as they are shipped or received.
• Operates a personal computer to access, enter and correct information.
• Answers phones and provides information using customer service skills.
• May provide advice regarding supplies or property including price and availability.
• May prepare damage claims for supervisor’s review and signature.
• May coordinate disposal of surplus property and manage records retention.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities· This position does not offer supervisory responsibilities, but growth opportunities are available.

Required Skills / Abilities

· Basic math skills knowledge.

· Computer savvy. Work with shipping, inventory or other related software, specifically QB and MS Office.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate updates and recommendations in a concise and timely manner.

· Strong time management skills and ability to adhere to timelines.

· Works well individually and independently as well as in a team setting.

Education and Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Experience handling, storing and shipping materials or supplies.

· Forklift/jack pallet experience required

· Experience in, UPS, FedEX, LTL, postal/shipping regulations and/or fulfillment a plus.

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to bend, stoop, lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Stand and walk continuously throughout an 8-hour shift. Work in a warehouse setting that may have dust and dirt.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
