This is an in-office position and a 9-hour shift Monday to Friday but applicants must be willing to work flexible hours and shifts as news arises.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to : Pitching opinion and feature ideas dailyComposing briefs for opinion and feature writersEditing under tight deadlinesRestructuring articlesResearching article ideasFact-checking drafts of opinion and feature articlesLegalling articles and working on sourcing with reportersWorking with photo editors to create images to illustrate articlesBuilding articles in a content management systemWe are seeking professionals with the following experience : At least 2 years working as an editor at a newspaper, news website, magazine or television news showUnderstanding of the DailyMail.com brand, editorial voice and audienceKnowledge of online research toolsDailymail.com operates a 24 / 7 newsroom, and all shifts are expected to be worked from the office.
