Salary : $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

DailyMail.com is seeking an assistant editor on the Opinion / Features desk to join the growing team in our New York City office. This is an in-office position and a 9-hour shift Monday to Friday but applicants must be willing to work flexible hours and shifts as news arises.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to : Pitching opinion and feature ideas dailyComposing briefs for opinion and feature writersEditing under tight deadlinesRestructuring articlesResearching article ideasFact-checking drafts of opinion and feature articlesLegalling articles and working on sourcing with reportersWorking with photo editors to create images to illustrate articlesBuilding articles in a content management systemWe are seeking professionals with the following experience :
At least 2 years working as an editor at a newspaper, news website, magazine or television news showUnderstanding of the DailyMail.com brand, editorial voice and audienceKnowledge of online research tools
Dailymail.com operates a 24 / 7 newsroom, and all shifts are expected to be worked from the office. Applicants must be willing to work flexible hours.

PTO : Standard allowance is 15 days plus one day per every year of service capped at 20 days. Public holidays are not included in this allowance. They are in addition.
