What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Crew Manager position at DMH Services, Inc?
JOB SUMMARY
A construction crew manager for DMH will be expected to manage a team of workers to ensure they complete their tasks on time and up to company standards. Our crew leaders take a hands-on approach and will build steel racking systems and install panels alongside their crew members. The overall goal for an effective crew leader is to safely train their men to build a site from start to finish both efficiently and without error. DMH’s ideal candidate is a self-driven, highly motivated individual who is looking to excel in a fast paced environment and rapidly growing company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead by example and set efficient pace while building arrays alongside crews
- Oversee crew attendance and delegate tasks to team members
- Guarantee work is in accordance to construction prints and DMH procedures
- Properly train workers to adhere to company rules and procedures
- Oversee job sites and workers to ensure a high level of production, quality, & safety
- Ensure that company vehicles, equipment, & tools are used and maintained properly
- Travel to different sites and communicate production reports to the office
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with respectable DMV record
- Minimum 2 years experience of solar related construction
- Ability to be on call for work emergencies or required weekend work
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Ability to navigate an entire job in poor site conditions and/or poor weather. Task may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, etc.
- Ability to understand structural construction prints and communicate contents
- Ability to run heavy equipment (skid steer, pile driver, excavator, etc)
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience with ground mount systems (RBI, ATI, SFR, APA, etc.)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Highly motivated, self-driven, honest, and reliable
- Strong computer skills (experience with Procore & Microsoft apps)
WORK HOURS & BENEFITS
- 10 hour days / 5 days a week
- Some evening and weekend work required
