DMI is currently seeking a full time Security Specialist I to provide operational leadership to a team of 250 critical IT infrastructure operations contract for a high visibility Federal Government customer on a fast-paced and rewarding contract in the DC metro area.
- Updating tenable files for vulnerability assessment and compliance scanning
- Using RegEx to analyze and parse log files, direct anomalies and enhancing threat detection capabilities
- Implement a quarterly review process of the Security FDIC Policies and Procedures and align procedures to any updates or changes, with FDIC Approval or any change
- Ensure that security policies and standards are applied to FDIC systems.
- Participate in FDIC meetings and committees that investigate security needs and Develop new and modified Security FDIC Policies and Procedures
- Take an active role to actively address, repair and mitigate identified security breaches (including Security Incidents) and risks
- Be responsible for oversight and direction of all Personnel in the remediation or repair of security breaches (including Security Violations) or risks.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering).
- At least 2 years of general experience.
- Knowledge of US Government security regulations and methodologies, FISMA, FedRAMP, DoD STIG and NIST special publications.
- Have experience working with and updating Tenable files (XML-like code) including fundamental experience code reading, editing, scripting and troubleshooting skills (Shell, Bash, CLI, etc.).
- Knowledge of RegEx.
Education & Experience
- IT degree with Security concentration and 1-2 years experience
- 3-5 year's experience and no degree
