Associate Security Analyst - Mid-Atlantic region (Remote in NC, VA, WV, MD, DC, DE, NJ, or PA)

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Projects and work activities as assigned by leader to independently solve complex business problems – including but not limited to independently performing analysis, evaluation, building/developing, testing, enhancing, maintaining, or evaluating cyber & physical security processes & procedures with accuracy and with on-time deliverables.
• Acquire and demonstrate cybersecurity & physical security and business knowledge through maintaining engagement with business stakeholders.
• Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within assigned business area and continuously seek technical training developing / enhancing skills.
• Engage and participate in other activities and meetings, such as engagement & training sessions, and IT Meetings.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of relevant cybersecurity and or physical security experience.
• Basic Microsoft Office 365 Suite skills
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with others.
• Ability to work independently and use sound judgment.
• Ability to solve problems using procedures and guidelines.
• Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
• Approximately 10-20% travel
  
  

Preferred experience:

• Prior experience with government security frameworks
• Basic understanding of cyber security strategies.
• Basic understanding of physical security strategies.
• Understanding of NERC CIP standards
• Understanding of NIST cybersecurity framework.
