DMR Construction is currently seeking a Construction Business Development Manager to work out of our Waldwick, NJ office.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Construction Business Development Manager to help drive growth and expand our market presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, with proven experience in business development, client relationship management, and strategic sales. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities, building partnerships, and increasing revenue.

Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company growth targets.
- Utilize existing relationships and develop and maintain strong connections with potential clients, architects, engineers, and other entities that may lead to business opportunities for DMR.
- Generate and track leads and assist with proposals to secure new projects.
- Participate in the preparation of proposals and RFP/RFQ responses.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals, bids, and project estimates are timely and align with client needs.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline of potential new work for DMR.
Market Research & Strategy
- Analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop strategies with senior management for expanding into new markets and improving the company’s competitive position.
- Monitor project pipelines, construction developments, and government tenders for potential business.
- Stay informed about industry trends and contribute to DMR’s marketing initiatives.
Client Relationship Management
- Help cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build company awareness, reputation and connections.
Revenue Growth & Performance Tracking
- Set and achieve sales targets, revenue goals, and business development KPIs.
- Prepare and present business development reports, sales forecasts, and financial performance analyses.
- Work closely with senior management to align business development efforts with company objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the general contracting or construction industry.
- General understanding of construction processes, contracts, and project management.
- Proven track record of successfully securing construction projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic growth initiatives in cooperation with senior management.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Established network of industry contacts and clients.
DMR Construction offers competitive wages and benefits, including:
- Salary to be commensurate with experience, partially commission-based.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
