Certified Chemical Applicator
Job Summary
DMS Landscaping is seeking a Certified Chemical Applicator to join our team in Omaha, NE. The primary responsibility of this role is to safely and effectively apply chemical treatments to landscaping areas, ensuring the health and vitality of plants, trees, and lawns. The Certified Chemical Applicator will play a crucial role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces for our residential and commercial clients.
Responsibilities
- Apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other chemical treatments to landscapes according to approved schedule and specifications
- Follow all safety protocols and handle chemicals in a safe and responsible manner
- Maintain accurate records of chemicals used, application rates, and treatment dates
- Inspect landscape areas for signs of pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies
- Diagnose and recommend appropriate treatment plans for various landscape issues
- Operate and maintain application equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness
- Coordinate with team members to effectively schedule and prioritize treatments
- Communicate with clients to provide updates on treatment plans and address any concerns
- Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to chemical applications
FINAL COMPENSATION AMOUNT WILL BE BASED OFF OF LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Chemical Applicator
- Prior experience in chemical application, preferably in a landscaping or horticultural setting
- Strong knowledge of different types of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and their application methods
- Familiarity with common plant diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and specifications
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
