Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Clinical Operations Coordinator to support the high-volume workflow of one of our most productive providers. In this unique role, you will serve as a key administrative partner, ensuring patients are supported throughout their care experience—from scheduling and insurance coordination to payment support and general follow-up. You will work closely with an existing Medical Assistant and handle tasks that go beyond the traditional front desk role, providing a high level of service and responsiveness.
This is a remote position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to jump in and assist wherever needed. It is preferred that this person live in Fort Myers, FL so that they can come into the office as needed for trainings and to liaise with our various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the provider’s daily schedule to ensure efficiency and minimal downtime.
- Serve as a point of contact for patient-related administrative needs, responding promptly to inquiries and assisting patients with access to care.
- Communicate with insurance companies to support patients in resolving claim or billing issues.
- Set up patient payment plans and assist with basic billing inquiries to reduce burden on the central billing department.
- Collaborate with the provider and existing Medical Assistant to ensure seamless operations and patient satisfaction.
- Follow up on outstanding authorizations, appointments, and patient concerns.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support the provider’s workflow and maintain operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a healthcare office environment required (Medical Assistant, Front Desk, Office Coordinator, or similar roles).
- Strong understanding of insurance processes, patient billing, and basic medical office workflows.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and navigate practice management and EMR systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a behavioral health or outpatient clinic setting.
- Experience with prior authorizations or patient financial counseling.
