Overview: Under general supervision, the Medical Office Manager oversees the operational and administrative functions, with a specific focus on serving Chinese-speaking patients. Responsible for ensuring efficient office operations, staff management, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees daily operations of the front and back office, including scheduling, patient registration, billing, collections, and insurance verification.
- Manages and trains office staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Implements and maintains electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software.
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.
- Coordinates with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations.
- Analyzes financial data and prepares reports for management.
- Resolves patient complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and risk management activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field preferred.
- Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is essential.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical office management.
- Strong proficiency in EHRs, practice management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
