You Will
- Procurement Management:
Evaluate and select suppliers for materials, services, and goods.
Create and issue purchase orders in accordance with the company’s needs.
Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers to achieve the best value.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
Maintain strong relationships with current suppliers and source new ones as necessary.
Handle supplier inquiries and resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, and payments.
- Budget Management:
Collaborate with the finance department to maintain and review the purchasing budget.
Track spending and ensure that purchasing activities are within the allocated budget.
- Order Coordination and Delivery:
Follow up on order progress and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Communicate with internal departments to ensure they receive the products they need on time.
- Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and payments for future reference.
You Have
- Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
Alternatively, 8-10 years of direct experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
- Skills & Abilities:
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Solid understanding of supply chain management and inventory control practices.
- Knowledge (Preferred):
Familiarity with ReQlogic and/or Ebis a plus.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and cost management.
