This position is responsible for performing general housekeeping duties, assisting welders, loading and unloading freight trucks and handling materials in a welding shop environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the welding shop, including sweeping, trash removal, and general upkeep.
• Load and unload trucks with Forklifts, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist in bolting up fittings, valves, and other components as needed.
• Provide support to welders by gathering materials, tools, and assisting with tasks as directed.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment in a safe manner.
• Ensure materials and supplies are properly stored and accounted for.
• Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform other general labor duties as assigned by the shop supervisor.
  
  

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent work experience
• Experience with hand tools, including but not limited to, drills, grinders and sanders
• Ability to use, read and interpret a tape measure
• Ability to lead others
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Organized; Detail-Oriented
• Ability to multi-task
• Basic computer/laptop skills
• Must be able to physically lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must have current, valid driver’s license and acceptable record at all times.
