Job Summary:
The Accountant/Bookkeeper is responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping, as well as monthly and quarterly reconciliations for accounts. To succeed in this role, you must be a reliable and self-motivated professional with excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier’s ledger, customer ledger and general ledger.
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage.
- Enter data, maintain records and financial statements.
- Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.
- Supply needed financial reports to the person in charge.
- Perform journal entries, maintain detailed ledger records.
- Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences.
- Establish records of accounts and input entries into the appropriate accounts.
- Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Prepare accounting records, including financial statements, or other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Control expenses and other accounting information.
- Providing outstanding customer service.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3‐5 years of Accounting Experience.
- A minimum of 2 years proven experience with TOPS. (Only candidates with proven TOPS experience will be considered)
- MS Office, Outlook, and Proficient in Excel.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Professionalism.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: 50k to 55k per year based on qualifications and experience.
- Vacation (1 week vacation after the 1st year; 2 weeks after the 3rd year).
- We also close early or full day closures around the big holidays as extra days off that are paid.
Schedule and Location:
- Monday to Friday
- In Office ‐ This is not a remote work position
