Pay is determined by experience and starts at $16 an hour
Minimum Required Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus one (1) year of experience in grounds or maintenance and repair in one or more of the craft disciplines.
Experience must demonstrate:
Experience must demonstrate:
- Knowledge of methods, practices, tools, and all other equipment and materials utilized in general grounds and landscape maintenance.
- Knowledge of safety hazards and appropriate precautionary methods involved in grounds and landscape maintenance.
- Ability to operate trucks and tractor equipment.
- Skilled in the safe use of tools and equipment utilized in grounds and landscape maintenance.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with the general public and a diverse staff and student population.
- Ability to maintain, and repair lawn care and snow removal equipment and all other tools as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Required Licenses/Certifications
Valid Nebraska driver’s License and driving record acceptable to the University’s automobile insurance provider.
