The Tiger Mentorship Program’s mission is to provide all students in their first year at Doane with the relationships and resources needed to enhance their collegiate experience and allow them to experience academic and personal success. Mentors provide Mentees the tools to increase their access to success by addressing personal, situational, and systemic obstacles.The Tiger Mentorship Program will build peer relationships regardless of race, gender, sexual identity or orientation, income level, disability, religion, and/or First Generation status in order to provide holistic guidance and support that equips Mentees to overcome obstacles and thrive in all areas as a member of the Doane Community.Provide students with successful student mentors of similar race, background, ethnic diversity, gender identity, major, and/or extracurricular involvement.Provide identified students with supportive activities, interventions, and cultural experiences that foster a sense of belonging with other students, faculty & staff, and campus life.Develop integrated, accessible, and high-visibility services to create a culture of academic growth and personal success.
