Front Desk Associate
A well-established and highly respected vascular surgery practice with multiple locations in Pinellas County, Florida, is seeking a full-time Front Desk Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and motivated individual with a passion for helping patients and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
· Register new patients and update existing patient information in the electronic medical records system.
· Schedule appointments and coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
· Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and provide accurate information to patients.
· Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with billing and payment processes.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and waiting room.
· Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper patient scheduling and timely communication.
· Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues or escalate them to the appropriate personnel.
· Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry as needed.
· Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in healthcare administration is a plus).
· Previous experience in a medical front desk or customer service role is preferred.
· Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and scheduling software.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
· Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Office, email, etc.).
· Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous.
· Understanding of insurance processes and billing procedures is desirable.
