As a Finance and Accounts Specialist, you are the master of numbers, organization, and financial precision. What you will own & improve
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage sponsor invoicing and ensure timely follow-up for outstanding payments. Prepare detailed reports on AR status and work to minimize overdue balances.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Oversee vendor payments, ensuring all invoices are verified, approved, and paid within the designated timeline. Maintain accurate records of all outgoing payments.
- Financial reconciliation: Conduct monthly reconciliations of payments received to ensure accuracy.
- Contract and budget support: Assist with contract and budget negotiations, ensuring agreements align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- CTMS system management: Assist with building and maintaining clinical studies within the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS), ensuring accurate tracking of study financials.
- Process optimization: Identify inefficiencies in finance workflows and implement improvements to streamline AR/AP and overall accounting processes.
What you already know
- Accounting principles: You have a solid understanding of AR/AP processes and financial reconciliation.
- Tech savvy: Experience using accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.). Familiarity with CTMS systems is a major plus.
- Detail-oriented: Numbers are your jam, and you thrive in ensuring everything balances to the penny.
- Time management: You excel at prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and staying organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Financial reporting: You know how to prepare and present clear, accurate, and actionable financial reports.
- Contract negotiation basics: You’re familiar with reviewing or supporting contract and budget discussions.
