JOB DESCRIPTIONDodd Creative Group is currently seeking a creative genius to join our growing design team. The ideal candidate will have a portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual skills, familiarity with a breadth of media types (especially print and web), and a knack for composing beautiful compositions. This candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, energetic, and flexible. We’re a small team with a wide variety of services, so the person filling this position will be wearing many hats, and will frequently be asked to take on new and unfamiliar tasks. We’re looking for someone who sees this as an opportunity, not a burden. This is full-time, in-office position in Dallas, TX (This is not a remote position).
RESPONSIBILITIESPrint design (layout, revisions, and mechanical art production for brochures, flyers, etc.), digital media design (layout, revisions, and file prep for website graphics, video assets, Powerpoint presentations, etc.), curating images for print and web applications, and drawing / editing floorplans and mapsEdit website content via a variety of content management systemsCoordinate with print vendors, web developers, shipping services, etc.Maintain well-organized, well-built, error-free filesManage one’s own workload, and stay on top of multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment, and keep in constant communication with managers about project statusStay up-to-date on current industry trends, technologies, theories, best practices, etc.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in graphic design or related fieldHighly proficient in Adobe CC apps (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop) on the Mac, with a thorough understanding of major file formats, image resolution, etc.Good drawing skillsHighly organized and detail-orientedExcellent problem solver and creative thinkerGood at following creative direction, taking constructive criticism, and adjusting to changing circumstancesProfessional appearance and demeanorGood verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS1 to 2 years of previous experience as a professional graphic designerExperience working with video, environmental graphics, and technical drawingsFamiliarity with architectural blueprints and terminology
