JOB DESCRIPTION

Dodd Creative Group is currently seeking a creative genius to join our growing design team. The ideal candidate will have a portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual skills, familiarity with a breadth of media types (especially print and web), and a knack for composing beautiful compositions. This candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, energetic, and flexible. We’re a small team with a wide variety of services, so the person filling this position will be wearing many hats and will frequently be asked to take on new and unfamiliar tasks. We’re looking for someone who sees this as an opportunity, not a burden. This is a full-time, in-office position in Dallas, TX (This is not a remote position).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Print design (layout, revisions, and mechanical art production for brochures, flyers, etc.), digital media design (layout, revisions, and file prep for website graphics, video assets, Powerpoint presentations, etc.), curating images for print and web applications, and drawing / editing floorplans and maps.
Edit website content via a variety of content management systems.
Coordinate with print vendors, web developers, shipping services, etc.
Maintain well-organized, well-built, error-free files.
Manage one’s own workload, stay on top of multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment, and keep in constant communication with managers about project status.
Stay up-to-date on current industry trends, technologies, theories, best practices, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.

Highly proficient in Adobe CC apps (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop) on the Mac, with a thorough understanding of major file formats, image resolution, etc.

Good drawing skills.

Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Excellent problem solver and creative thinker.

Good at following creative direction, taking constructive criticism, and adjusting to changing circumstances.

Professional appearance and demeanor.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1 to 2 years of previous experience as a professional graphic designer.

Experience working with video, environmental graphics, and technical drawings.

Familiarity with architectural blueprints and terminology.
