About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shop Helper to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role primarily involves crate building and light assembly, along with general shop support to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
Crate Building
- Construct wooden or metal crates for shipping and storage.
- Operate hand and power tools such as drills, saws, and nail guns.
- Ensure crates are built to specifications and meet quality standards.
Light Assembly
- Assemble light fixtures, including wiring and quality inspections.
- Test components to ensure functionality and adherence to safety standards.
General Shop Support
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist team members with larger projects as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Shop Helper or in a similar manufacturing role.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus).
