We are seeking an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Summer Intern to join our Financial Institutions Group in Troy, MI office. This is a small growing team with significant deal flow.
Responsibilities:
- Support M&A transactions and strategic advisory engagements, interacting with senior team members, client management teams and other advisors
- Assist with financial modeling, creation of presentations, research, due diligence and other tasks as necessary
- Build, update and maintain detailed financial models
- Conduct market and economic research
- Draft investment memos, presentations, and recommendations throughout the deal process
- Ensure high-quality deliverables for internal and external end-users
Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting and/or Finance or related degree
- 3.5 GPA (cumulative and major)
- Interest in pursuing certifications such as CPA, CVA, CFA, Series 79
- Prior accounting or finance internship experience preferred
- Prior leadership experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- High degree of curiosity, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm
- Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent organization, communication and teamwork abilities
