We currently have an opening in our Houston office for a Buyer. This position will provide procurement support to the operations, engineering and administrative departments via the procurement processes by managing requisitions, on-time-delivery, and performing in accordance with corporate and regional purchasing processes and standards and/or state/federal requirements.

Requirements
Job Responsibilities:
- Obtain quotations from new and existing Suppliers;
- Issue Requisitions and Purchase Orders;
- Expediting orders to ensure On-Time-Delivery;
- Maintain Open Order Report and resolve PO issues;
- Notifying vendors of NCRs as directed by operations, engineering, or procurement;
- Provide weekly status reports for operations;
- Maintain "real-time" Purchase Order updates for 3rd party service and personnel;
- Support project and commercial groups by negotiating favorable pricing;
- Support engineering group with identification of goods and services during project development phase;
- Cooperate with supervisors and managers on Health, Safety and Environmental matters and not interfere with anything provided to safeguard their health and safety
- Comply with Company's HSE policy
- Report any Health, Safety or Environmental concerns to the HSEQ department
- Minimum: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain or related field of study.
- Minimum of 2 years of buying experience in supply chain within the subsea sector OR 3-4 years of general oil and gas industry buying experience
- Knowledge and experience of the supply chain process
- Proficient with standard business application software
- Experience with Agresso/Unit 4 preferred
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational, problem solving and multitasking skills
- Ability to work with all levels of management
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, professional
