If so, we want you to join our team as a Front Desk Coordinator at Dog Days! We are hiring at our location on University Ave E, just east of Regions Hospital in St Paul.

We are a dog daycare and overnight care business dedicated to providing top-notch care for over 20 years! Our team is young, enthusiastic, and dedicated to ensuring a safe, happy, and enriching environment for our furry guests.
Position Overview:
As the Front Desk Coordinator, you will be the face of our business. You’ll provide outstanding customer service to the owners of the dogs entrusted to us and keep the front end operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Build strong relationships with clients by addressing their needs, concerns, and questions with care and professionalism.
- Sales: Become proficient on explaining our services and selling them to clients.
- Reservation and Data Management: Answer phone calls and emails. Make reservations & collect client information and dog information. Create and maintain Google Docs, emails and paper files. Enter data in our kennel management software.
- Pet Care: Ensure all dogs are cared for with compassion and according to company protocols. Lead dogs (big & small) to & from their assigned playrooms.
- Problem-Solving: Use critical thinking skills to address challenges, resolve conflicts, and improve processes.
- Multi-Tasking: Juggle multiple priorities, from managing check-ins to handling client inquiries and ensuring the dogs reservations are complete and accurate.
- Flexibility: Be adaptable and ready to step in where needed, including working additional shifts when teammates are on vacation.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and confidence to speak directly with clients.
- Understands the compassionate bond between dogs and their owners.
- The ability to lift 40 lbs with no restrictions.
- Be patient & tolerant of loud environments (barking), dog waste, odor and dog hair.
- Be very comfortable handling dogs as they check-in and check-out; this includes (but not limited) being OK with dogs licking you, jumping on you, pulling hard on leash when walked.
- Demonstrate self-control, particularly when under duress.
- Demonstrate self-motivation to independently complete tasks.
- Come to work with a neat and tidy appearance.
- Possess basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Gmail and Google Docs & Sheets.
- Possess good grammar and writing skills. Possess pleasant and cheerful phone manners.
- Reliable and great attendance record.
