Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs while ensuring their safety and well-being. You will working with a team of dedicated pet professionals. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, strong customer service skills, and the ability to handle various dog breeds and behavior issues with confidence.
Duties
- Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and mental stimulation.
- Monitor the behavior and health of dogs during walks, reporting any concerns to manager.
- Provide basic pet care services, including feeding, administering medication, and cleaning up after pets as needed.
- Maintain a positive relationship with pet owners through regular communication and updates on their pets’ activities.
- Ensure all dogs are safely restrained during walks using appropriate leashes or harnesses.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, such as carrying pet supplies or helping with larger breeds.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in veterinary settings or as a veterinary assistant is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques is essential; experience in dog handling is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required.
- Experience in pet sitting, grooming, or animal restraint is advantageous.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing high-quality care for pets.
