Job Summary
Provides general facility maintenance to management and employees. The Facilities Maintenance personnel will use various tools to diagnose, correct, or escalate facilities issues, perform a variety of routine and preventative maintenance repairs, and advise management on issues that may arise within the facility.
Essential Functions
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Requisition of supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Make adjustments or minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, or electrical systems.
- Use power and hand tools for minor repairs within the facility.
- Perform a variety of preventative and routine maintenance and repairs, including but not limited to electrical and plumbing.
- Responsible for responding to assigned facilities requests and completing work based on priority.
- Assist management in minor repairs.
- Advise management of needs or potential facility issues.
- Aware of and planning for contingencies regarding issues within the facility.
- Helps with pickup and delivery of customer units (if applicant has at least a Class B CDL).
- Helps with overall cleanliness of facility.
- Moves vehicles around the facility as requested for customers dropping off and picking up their units.
- Must be able to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- 2-4 years experience as handyman or facilities maintenance preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent communication skills
- A CDL license is a plus, but not required
- Previous warehouse/shop experience preferred

When needed.
Environmental Conditions
Employee regularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts. May be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times. Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment. Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment. Required to perform work in cramped spaces and/or high places. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds may be necessary for essential job functions.
