Overview Doggy Come Play is seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. Monday - Friday 11:30am - 6:30 pm. This role is essential in providing a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for dogs in our care. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various dog breeds and temperaments. As a Dog Daycare Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our furry guests while delivering exceptional customer service to their owners.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure safety and enjoyment.
- Monitor the behavior of dogs and intervene as necessary to prevent conflicts or injuries.
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility, including kennels, play areas, and equipment.
- Administer basic pet care tasks such as feeding, watering, and administering medications when required.
- Assist with grooming tasks including bathing and brushing as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners regarding their pets’ behavior and well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of each dog’s activities, health status, and any incidents that occur during daycare hours.
- Participate in training sessions for dog handling techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and dog handling skills.
- Familiarity with dog training methods is a plus.
- Experience in pet grooming or bathing is beneficial but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily responsibilities.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their care and well-being.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed.
