Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our day school facility. You will interact with dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring their well-being while also delivering exceptional customer service to their owners. Your love for animals and ability to handle them with care will be essential in creating a positive experience for both the pets and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with dogs in playgroups to ensure safety and proper behavior.
- Provide basic care for the dogs, including feeding and ensuring access to fresh water.
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area by regularly cleaning play spaces, kennels, and equipment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of all dogs; report any concerns to management.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and needs.
- Implement training techniques as necessary to promote positive behaviors among the dogs.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience in animal care or pet handling is preferred; experience as a veterinary assistant or in a kennel setting is a plus but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with pet owners.
- Ability to handle multiple dogs at once while maintaining control and ensuring safety.
- Physical stamina to engage in active play and perform cleaning duties throughout the day.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.
- Certification in pet first aid or CPR is a plus but not required.
