Metal Fabrication Inspection Lead
As a Metal Fabrication Inspection Lead at Dogwood Industries LLC, you will be responsible for enhancing in-house inspection capabilities and driving continuous improvement in welding quality and processes. You will lead a team of inspectors to ensure compliance with AWS D1 standards and promote a culture of excellence in metal fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
- Experience in steel fabrication or general construction
- Familiarity with AISC and welding procedure development
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and shop drawings
- Fluency in English with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement inspection procedures while executing and documenting specific test plans.
- Perform VT, MT, and UT inspections to ensure all welds meet AWS D1 standards.
- Verify weld quality, dimensions, and structural integrity according to project specifications.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate records of weld inspections, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.
