What you will do as a Maintenance Technician :
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance tasks and answering trouble calls
- Troubleshoot problems with the use of schematics and wiring diagrams on motor and heater circuits
- Remove and replace defective parts from equipment with the use of hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools
- Communicate effectively with the shift supervisor to prioritize repairs
- Make entries to the maintenance log explaining problems encountered, repairs made, and parts used or needed
- Keep company tools put away and in working order
- Fabricate repair parts, machine guarding, mezzanines, etc. using shop equipment (welders, plasma cutter, torch, grinder, etc.)
