Duties and Responsibilities
The selected Welder will be responsible for planning and executing various tasks related to metal fabrication and welding, including:
- Planning details of work order procedures, gathering required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications.
- Interpreting blueprints to identify weld symbols and execute accurate welding tasks.
- Repairing components by welding pieces and filling gaps, ensuring high-quality results.
- Maintaining, organizing, and cleaning equipment and the work area, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:
- Thorough understanding of welding equipment and hand tools used in welding.
- Basic understanding of design techniques and principles necessary for precise production of technical plans, drawings, models, and blueprints.
- Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.
- Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.
- Able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.
- Manual dexterity and stability required for precision work.
- Ability to see details at close range.
