Temp – Senior Accounting Analyst (Maternity Leave Cover, 3-4 months)

Dolce & Gabbana, a global leader in luxury fashion and beauty, is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to join its Beauty Division for a maternity leave coverage of 3–4 months. This is a great opportunity for a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to support the Finance team during a dynamic and fast-paced period.
The Senior Accounting Analyst will be responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, supporting month-end close activities, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-End Close: Support and lead month-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and analyze the general ledger, ensuring correct classification and posting of transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L reporting.
- Intercompany Transactions: Reconcile and manage intercompany accounts and support the consolidation process.
- Audit Support: Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.
- Budget & Forecast Support: Assist in financial planning activities and provide support for budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve data accuracy and efficiency.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards (US GAAP or IFRS).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance and Global teams to ensure financial accuracy and data consistency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the beauty, luxury, or consumer goods industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP experience is preferred).
- Experience working with high-volume data and performing detailed reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Spanish is a plus
