The temporary Deductions Management Specialist acts as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) to support escalations, questions, and approvals from the offshore BPO. The role acts as the primary contact between the BPO and Dole’s customers and/or brokers.
This role is based remotely in any of the following eligible locations (preference is given to candidates who live within commutable distance of our Westlake Village, CA headquarters office: AR, AZ, CA, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KY, MA, ME, MI, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI, TN, TX, UT, WI.
NOTE: This position is not a permanent full-time position. Depending on assignment to Dole Packaged Foods, the company may elect to offer the successful applicant a full-time position upon the expiration of ninety days or more, but is not required to do so.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Oversees BPO and assists with researching short pays, determining the support needed to process and/or clear the short pay, and validate when the short pay is authorized
- Serves as primary conduit of communication between BPO and Dole’s customers and/or brokers and sales team
- Assist with the resolution and analysis of unauthorized short pays as needed
- Facilitate broker/customer related TPM (trade promotion management) inquires related to short pays
- Oversees reconciliation of credit memos and unapplied cash
- Ensures proper cash application policies and procedures are being followed
- Reconcile any cash application issues caused by the cash preprocessor
- Acts as backup and is cross trained with Sr A/R Analyst
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:
- 5 years A/R related experience
- Accounting, collections, deductions, customer service background
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- SAP or similar ERP system experience strongly preferred

Education & Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.
Travel Requirements:
- Minimal travel expected

FOR JOBS BASED IN CALIFORNIA:
Hiring Pay Scale: $25 to $30 per hour
