Position Description:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for the execution of physical inventory counts and shrink reduction. All duties performed are expected to be within the objectives, standards, mission, and policies of Doll Distributing LLC; State of Iowa laws and regulations governing the beer industry; and brewery/supplier.
Essential Functions:
- Verify all inventory has been entered into computerized system (VIP) all warehouse re-pack, breakage, close to code products.
- Enter and reconcile Bills of Lading and purchases
- File claims for damage, overages and/or shortages on Bills of Lading
- Demonstrate working knowledge of inventory management concepts and applications
- Investigate/audit all transactions that affect inventory and variances.
- Investigate ways to reduce shrinkage.
- Troubleshoot inventory variances and identifies root causes.
- Perform inventory audits.
- Check code dates and product rotation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong planning and analytical skills
- Ability to stay on task with strong/independent follow-through on projects
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of relevant inventory and warehouse experience
- Experience with warehouse equipment including Forklift, Pallet jack and Cherry Picker
- Proficient data entry, computer, and mathematical skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word skills
Working Conditions:
- Temperature/Climate
- This position will spend 40% of the shift in a climate-controlled environment, and 60% of the shift is a cooled climate-controlled environment (Warehouse and Keg Cooler)
- Physical/Mental Organizational Capabilities
- The individual in this role must possess the ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and climb stairs on a frequent basis. Must have the ability to safely lift a minimum of 20 lbs and a maximum of 165lbs with assistance of equipment. The individual must be able to read written paperwork in English. The ability to pay attention to detail, problem solve, troubleshoot, and make decisions is required.
- The individual must be comfortable working at heights of up to 3 pallets high.
- Visual/Hearing Capabilities
- The visual ability necessary to read and interpret a computer screen is required. The hearing ability necessary to communicate with others is required. The individual must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally with employees and customers on all levels of the organization
Salary : $25
