Job Details
Sr. Manager oversees the daily operations of multiple enterprise data centers. This role manages the Operator Services team, partners distribution center (DC) Facilities team members to manage DC server rooms, as well as being the key stakeholder for the enterprise Network Operations Center (NOC). The Sr. Manager is also responsible for the IT Disaster Recovery program in coordination with the company’s Business Continuity Planning team.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible for all aspects of data center planning, environmental monitoring, and capacity planning for multiple enterprise data centers and distribution center server rooms. 25%
• Performs IT capacity planning by coordinating with the Applications Development and Infrastructure teams. 25%
• Manages Operator Services team, including employee performance management. 20%
• Provides oversight of enterprise production scheduling. 5%
• Provides coordination and planning for critical daily job processing. 5%x
• Serves as key stakeholder for the company’s enterprise Network Operations Center (NOC). 5%
• Involved in multiple key business strategic projects to provide support and input as needed. 5%
• Represents Operator Services and Data Center Operations as a key stakeholder of the enterprise Business Continuity Program. 5%
• Manages vendors and plans budgets for multiple cost center. 5%
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
•Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
•Strong communications and organizational skills.
•Ability to multi-task effectively.
•Working knowledge of enterprise automated batch job scheduling.
•Working knowledge of various types of hardware Unix, IBM, Virtual Servers, Networking, and Storage.
•Working knowledge of IT Disaster Recovery/BCP methods and Colocation.
•Knowledge of data center industry-wide best practices.
Work Experience &/or Education
•Experience using and managing a Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tool.
•5 years of managerial experience with a team of six or more, including team building and performance management.
•5 years of experience in Operator Services.
•5 years of managerial experience of multiple enterprise data centers.
•ITIL certification required.
•College degree preferred.
