The Water Quality Technician position is responsible for verifying and documenting all water quality readings for each body of water located at Dollywood’s Splash Country as required. All of this will be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Responsible for testing each individual body of water to determine active chlorine, pH, combined chlorine, and alkalinity levels on a preset schedule.
- Responsible for changing out all ride and filtration filter baskets. Must be able to operate user intended motor controls and corresponding mechanical valves.
- Must be able to perform start-up and shut-down of UV systems.
- Must be able to maintain chlorinator and acid pump systems. This duty to include start and stop functions and maintaining proper chemical levels.
- Must be able to safely and responsibly handle chemicals used in the treatment of the park water system.
- Responsible for cleaning all strainer baskets and maintaining an adequate supply of chemicals in all park water treatment facility areas.
- Host must immediately notify Park Manager and senior member of the Maintenance Staff of any irregularity in test results, or any test result that is outside the predetermined standards for safe and proper operation
- Maintain accurate and detailed work history journals and water testing results either manually or in a digital format.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with other DSC employees
- Follow All Host Safety Standards and General Safety Training guidelines and use associated injury prevention measures.
- Suspend operations when continuation would be inconsistent with Safety Standards or Procedures or presents a safety hazard to Guests or Hosts.

Education and Experience Required
- Must be 18 years old or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Has work experience which demonstrates the successful execution of similar duties and responsibilities in a commercial/industrial environment, to include the use of required tools and equipment
- Must successfully complete a post-employment offer background check and drug screen
