The Photography Assistant Team Lead position exists to assist the Team Lead in providing daily operating leadership, management and support to the site photo operations for assigned locations, ensuring established goals are met. All to be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and operating philosophies of The Dollywood Company.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist in leading, training and developing photography Host employees.
- Ensures photo-specific daily operating competencies are managed effectively and consistently reinforced. Examples of competencies include, but are not limited to, effective photography, selling skills, guest relations skills consistent with company standards, and basic hardware / software maintenance and trouble shooting.
- Effectively executes business strategies created by Photo Leadership.
- Assists in managing site budget for assigned location(s).
- Troubleshoots, communicates and resolves equipment and technical issues.
- Leads and motivates effective sales team.
- Participates in meetings with leadership as appropriate, with the goal of constantly reviewing and improving the business.
- Demonstrates strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Assists Team Lead with recruiting, hiring, on-boarding, training, and developing property photo operations team.
- Ensure proper flow of communication among all leadership levels regarding significant dates, events, meetings, etc.
- Motivates and evaluates team performance, to develop and grow the team and the business.
- Supervises, monitors and provides feedback on staff performance to the Team Lead.
- Cultivates a photo team culture of enthusiasm, respect, teamwork, collaboration, transparency, team development, empowerment, learning, and embracing of growth.
- Complies with, supports and ensures photo team compliance with all department and park specific policies, legal requirements, standards, procedures, and initiatives.
- Maintains sales and cash flow records in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensures proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property procedures, as well as Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
- Perform job duties of Team Member role as necessary.
- Follows All Host Safety Standards and General Safety Training guidelines and uses associated injury prevention measures.
- Suspend operations when continuation would be inconsistent with Safety Standards or Procedures or presents a safety hazard to Guests or Hosts.
