Job Overview
A family in Manhattan, NY, is looking for a Nanny/Family Assistant to provide exceptional care for their two children, a toddler and a school-aged child. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and managing daily tasks that help the household run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves not only supervising and ensuring the safety of the children but also engaging them in educational and enjoyable activities that promote their development. Additionally, the candidate should be responsible for keeping their space clean, organized, and safe. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as the family has a full-time nanny available from morning until afternoon.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m (with some flexibility) / Additional hours are available if candidate has great organizational or house management skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of children at all times during afternoon and evening hours.
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities that stimulate learning and creativity.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks while accommodating any dietary restrictions.
- Assist with homework and educational activities for older child.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including tidying up after meals and playtime, running errands, and doing laundry when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents, other staff and most imporantly other caregiver regarding children's daily activities, behavior, and any concerns.
- Administer first aid when necessary and maintain a safe play environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
