Position Summary:
Dominican University invites applicants for adjunct teaching positions in the Physician Assistant Department for future semesters. Instructors are sought on a rolling basis in anticipation of future program needs. There is no start date or deadline for application; candidates may be contacted regarding their interest in future opportunities as they arise. Adjunct Faculty appointments are per semester and contingent upon enrollment.
Responsibilities will include graduate instruction in didactic and/or clinical year in area(s) of expertise.
JOB COMPONENTS
- Provide exemplary instruction in the didactic, simulation lab, and clinical areas of teaching
- Participate in mentoring and role modeling for PA students
- Collaborate with the Clinical Coordinator for appropriate and optimal student placement
- Partner with Clinical Simulation Manager to develop, implement, and evaluate clinical scenarios within the simulation laboratory environment to optimize student learning outcomes
- Commitment to fostering an equitable and inclusive community for students and colleagues
Required Qualifications:
- Illinois license as Physician Assistant
- Master’s Degree
- Two years of clinical medical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree
- Evidence of undergraduate teaching excellence
- Evidence of undergraduate teaching excellence preferred
- Preferred clinical practice experience in the following: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Women’s Health, Behavioral Health, and Surgery

Salary and FLSA Status
- Salary: $1,400 - $6,000. The actual pay is determined based on credentials, course level, and credit hours. Pay could differ for directed study courses.
