Position Title: Advancement Database Administrator

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Director of Advancement Services, the Advancement Database Administrator provides database oversight and administration for Raiser’s Edge CRM. This position supports several teams and individual fundraisers, including but not limited to the Office of the President, Major Gifts, Annual Giving, and Alumnae/i Relations. This position is regularly in Raiser’s Edge NXT to ensure high-quality data is input into the database and output through reports, etc. Administers the creation and execution of standard reports and data requests, and ensures quality data within the database.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Database Administration
- Responsible for data entry procedures and data output integrity in the fundraising database (Raiser’s Edge).
- Produce targeted mailing lists for standard communications, solicitations, invitations, etc., for UA and for other departments University-wide.
- Work with multiple University areas to prioritize and manage projects, coordinate constituent information, and report data. Key relationships include information technology, registrar, financial aid, admissions, and academic and administrative leadership.
- Configure and import all data from University departments that is needed in Raiser’s Edge.
- Monitor the day-to-day operation of the database to ensure all fundraising technologies and systems are regularly reviewed for efficiency and efficacy.
- Responsible for adding alumnae/i records into the database and coordinating across the University to capture the greatest information on recently graduated students. Provides data to campus partners on an annual scheduled timeline.
- Provide database reports, mailing lists, and labels for Alumnae/i Relations department. Coordinate and maintain records for major yearly UA mailings. Provide all alumnae/i related lists and reports for other university departments.
- Ensure database tables and queries remain updated and orderly within the data warehouse. Make all database changes regarding changes in degrees, majors, minors, and certifications.
- Assist with the daily processing of all philanthropic contributions
- Provide training on the database and be available as a technical resource for UA staff.
Miscellaneous
- Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned and appropriate, recognizing that University Advancement is an integrated office requiring occasional participation in assignments that do not fall under this specific job description.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working with Raiser’s Edge or a similar fundraising CRM database
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong organizational abilities, with a proven capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Sound judgment and discretion in handling and securing confidential information
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Excel
Physical Demands:
- Ability to spend long durations of the workday sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Salary and FLSA Status
- Salary: $53,000 - $55,000
- FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-time, 37.5 hours
