Dominion Financial Services (DFS) is a mortgage originator for single family real estate. DFS originates two main loan products – a short term bridge loan for fix & flip investors, and a long-term rental loan for landlords growing their rental portfolios. DFS is thriving in the current competitive environment and shows aggressive quarterly growth. Our current origination volume is $70MM per month. DFS is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:
- Receive, record, and pay invoices.
- Initiate daily wires for loan fundings and/or draws.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports for credit facilities.
- Record journal entries in the accounting system.
- Perform various Month End reconciliations.
- Locate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Allocate borrower payments between various accounts.
- Draft correspondence, edit, and complete reports independently.
- Provide support to accounting team where needed for daily reconciliation, AP, outgoing wires, allocations etc.
Qualifications:
- Associates and/or Bachelors degree
- Minimum of two years experience working as an accountant or other financial position with similar experience
- Minimum of two years experience of GAAP accounting
- Advanced Level of Sage Intacct and Excel proficiency: pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative work environment.
- Ability to work on tight deadlines with a high level of efficiency and accuracy.
- Experience with Sage Intacct preferred, but not required.

Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
