Job Description
The Medical Services Representative is responsible for direct contact with physician offices to obtain required medical documentation for the company’s clients.
Essential Functions
- Reaching out to physician offices to confirm demographic, account information, and medical necessity
- Using effective communication skills to obtain required documentation for our client’s patients or customers
- Acting as a patient advocate with the physician offices
- Utilize technology to handle high call volumes
- The ability to work with limited supervision
- The ability to learn new policies and procedures quickly
- Maintain confidentiality of information and follow HIPAA guidelines
- Meet individual goals for successful productivity to include accounts per hour and Quality Assurance
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, you must be experienced on a PC. We prefer to hire candidates that type 25 WPM minimum.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position. If metrics are met, this is a hybird opportunity with 1-2 office visits per month.
- Schedule - Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-6:00PM
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
- $13.00/hour plus an Attendance Bonus if you work 40 hours, making it $14.00/hour!!!
- This position does have the opportunity to work-from-home after 30 days, given that you meet the KPI metrics required by the client
Preferred Education and Experience
Medical office background - familiar with HIPAA guidelines, Medical Records Prescriptions, and Basic Insurance Knowledge preferred not required
