Job Description
The Machine Tool Equipment Specialist position is responsible for determining operations to produce high-quality products and developing processes to ensure cost and efficiency requirements are met.
This role involves troubleshooting problems with production, taking corrective action, and researching the purchase of equipment or updates to existing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify drawings prior to release for fabrication and evaluate process requirements.
- Order fabrications and machining based on project timelines and scheduled needs.
- Work with vendors to achieve the best possible price and delivery.
- Process fabricated spare parts orders as required.
- Track all incoming fabrications and machined parts to timeline requirements.
- Interface with departments to resolve issues related to machining and fabrications.
- Support quality systems requirements.
- Update order entry and status of components in Epicor.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Five years' experience with machine tool equipment processing and fabrication.
Desirable Skills:
- Problem-solving and analysis.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to perform duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses.
- ERP/MRP experience preferred.
- Microsoft Office experience.
