Metal Fabricator – Job Description

Description: We are seeking a reliable, efficient metal fabricator to join our growing team. In this position, you will fabricate and assemble parts, pieces, and products using an array of tools and equipment. Emphasis on quality, a dedication to performing work accurately, and a keen attention to detail are a must.
Essential Functions
- Read Blue prints and verify the parts required prior to assembly.
- Familiarize yourself with the tools, instrumentation and calibration equipment.
- Measuring and marking out cutting and bend lines.
- Setting up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes and shears.
- Double checking design specifications before commencing with cutting work.
- Fabricating and constructing metal components.
- Grinding and finishing completed products.
- Performing quality checks on completed products.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two or more year of metal fabrication.
- Simple shop math.
- Ability to use/read tape measures. Working knowledge of using calipers & micrometers a plus.
- Ability to read and write English, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
